The Kaʻū Project: Answering God’s Call

As the Kona Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that God is calling us beyond the walls of our congregation and into a new mission field.

In response to that call, we are prayerfully stepping forward to launch The Kaʻū Project—a Christ-centered initiative dedicated to serving the people and families of Kaʻū, Hawaiʻi

The Kaʻū Project is our response.

Currently, no Seventh-day Adventist presence serves this community. Yet the needs and opportunities are significant. Families need places to connect and build meaningful relationships. Children and young people need safe spaces to learn, grow, and thrive. People of all ages need support, belonging, encouragement, and, above all, the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Lasting Support for Our Communities

Rather than simply establishing another church location, our vision is to build a community-first ministry—one that listens, serves, develops relationships, and responds to the real needs of the people of Kaʻū. Through compassionate service, family and children's ministries, health initiatives, community programs, and spiritual outreach, we hope to earn trust, create lasting relationships, and introduce people to the transforming love of Christ.
